The Wizardry wiki has joined!

The Wizardry Wiki, is a collaborative hub about Wizardry video game franchise, a classic first-person dungeon crawler from 1981 (not to be confused with The Edge’s Commodore 64 game of the same name, or the other kind of Wizardry). It covers all things from the mainline series by Sirtech, the Japanese developed games, and related materials such as the ongoing Blade & Bastard light novel series set in the world of Wizardry, with the only exception of Eternal Crypt: Wizardry BC.

Originally founded on Wikia (later known as Fandom) in 2008 by two founder TGOskar and JaredKFan. Eventually, the two went inactive, and was later adopted by a dedicated fan of the franchise, Gamerhenky. In shortly after, Wizardry Wiki has decide abandon Fandom due to numerous issues regarding the platform itself to the trustworthy wikifarm, wiki.gg. Initially, it was considered to be hosted independently, but not chosen due potentially unforeseen high server costs per month.

Shortly after migration, Wizardry Wiki has been relatively quiet due to low fanbase and the lack of active editors aside the new owner. However the wiki hosted in wiki.gg has also collaborated once with retro gaming YouTuber, St1ka, and featured in Wizardry retrospective video “Wizardry: Your Grandpa’s RPG” premiered in November 21, 2023 to gain the awareness.

We are honored to be a part of IWF and hope to contribute in a way that’s exemplary to other independent wikis; and, as we are a smaller wiki with less expertise than some of our contemporaries, perhaps improve some of our methods! We’re glad to be here.
